More birthday arrangements I made…

Harbor House Raffle Arrangements

I was asked by a friend of mine to make (2) arrangements to be raffled off at the Harbor House Scrap Family Violence Fundraiser that is taking place this weekend.

Established in 1984 as a program of the Outagamie County Department of Human Services, Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs began as a grassroots organization offering a safe shelter and basic crisis services to women and children hurt by domestic abuse.

Service Statistics

In 2010, Harbor House served families in crisis in the following ways:

  • 434 people received safe shelter
  • 764 women and 373 children participated in one-on-one counseling sessions
  • 393 women and 330 children attended support groups
  • 579 women and 335 children received legal advocacy
  • 11,839 crisis calls were answered, an average of 32 per day
  • 360 community education trainings and speaking presentations were given, along with 594 media contacts
  • 11,823 K-12 students and educators participated in 345 prevention education presentations.

Here is a link to the fundraiser…if anyone is interested, give them a call and see if there is still room to attend this fantastic fundraiser.

The color for Domestic Violence is purple.  Again, my camera is just not cooperating with me in capturing the vibrant colors of my arrangements.

Craft Sale Pictures

Just wanted to show you what my craft table looked like.  My Mom came and sat with me and we had lots of fun visiting with all the people that would come and sample the cake pops and were interested in them.

I was in my first craft sale this past weekend selling my cake pops and it was a HUGE success!!!  Not to toot my own horn, but my table had the most traffic and the day just flew by.  Tons of people took my cards and information and hopefully I will get some business out of all the interest.  I honestly didn’t know what to expect but I think a lot of people stopped by to look because it was something totally different and I was also giving out samples…and who doesn’t like free sweets!

The next craft sale I am in will be on November 6 at St. John’s in Little Chute – stop on by and try some cake pops.  GREAT stocking stuffers and gifts for teacher’s, co-workers, Secret Santa or anything you need a little gift for that is unique and delicious.

Have a great week!

Breast Cancer Awareness Arrangement

Cancer is so limited
It cannot criple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrale faith
It cannot eat away peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot shut out memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot reduce eternal life
It cannot quench the spirit
It cannot lessen the power of resurrection

Here is my tribute to all the women out there who are battling breast cancer, who is a survivor, who knows someone who is battling this horrible disease – remember to keep getting those “girls” checked out regularly and do self exams!

If you want to order one of these arrangements, I only have 6 pails left – what a wonderful way to lift someone’s spirits by giving them one of these arrangements to show you are thinking of them!  The pink feathered accessory in the middle of the arrangment is a pen that actually lights up the ribbon in pink when you write with it.

Enjoy and Save The Ta’ Ta’s!

Fall is one of the most wonderful times of the year for me…I love all the autumn colors that come out in all the leaves, plants and shrubs.  The crisp, cool air at night.  The smell of wood burning campfires and wood burning fireplaces.  I found that I can incorporate all of the beautiful colors of fall into my cake pops arrangements as well.  Posted here are two arrangements I made for a co-worker who is giving them to his vendors as a  Thank You for Doing Business!  Last night I made a bunch of pink pops with pink ribbon sprinkles on them and I have some cute white tin pails with the pink ribbon on them.  I am going to put together the arrangements tonight and will post pics tomorrow.  Enjoy this beautiful Indian Summer we are having or do I need to say…Native American Summer we are having…just want to be politically correct, lol!

Hi Everyone,

Boy I sure have been busy in the kitchen.  I am in my first craft sale on Saturday, October 8 at Wrightstown High School.  I am very excited to be a part of this, yet very nervous because I have no idea what to expect.  I have about 150 pops  made in all different flavors.  I ordered these really neat display stands and they should be here this week and can’t wait to see them. I have been going to local thrift stores and Goodwill’s in our area weekly to find unique containers to put my arrangements in.  I am going to make up all different kinds of arrangements and hopefully will get lots of orders…wish me luck!!!!  Here are some arrangements that I am going to make up and hopefully people will order these.
